From Angry Arab's chief correspondent on Bahrain: "There are two scandals going on in Bahrain right now:
- First you have the UAE's Interior Minister (I didn't actually verify the twitter account so you should double check) tweeting about his visit to UAE troops in Bahrain. Pro-regime newspaper also tweeted the picture.
- The second is leaked documents allegedly proving the presence of 499 Jordanian policemen in Bahrain. The documents were leaked to Bahrain Mirror, which is a news website based in London that is comprised of Bahraini journalists and activists that fled Bahrain after the crackdown. The website publishes a mixture of rumors and credible articles. I have no way of verifying the authenticity of these documents although I have no doubt that they are true.
Someone should really write a book or paper about why the majority of Bahrain's security forces are comprised of foreign nationals. Again why is it that the Bahraini regime feels the need to change the demographics of the country? What kind of regime simply wants to replace its own citizens?
